Dear Family and Friends,

I am so excited to announce that God has opened the door for me to go on a short-term mission trip to Haiti with Watermark Community Church on January 16th, 2016.  This is such a humbling, exciting and inspiring time in my life and I am so honored to have the love and support that I have received from you.  

For the past few months I have been serving at The Porch, a young adult ministry at Watermark in Dallas, TX.  Serving at The Porch has really opened up my eyes to how we all desperately need Jesus in our lives and how He can truly transform lives- He transformed mine. I used to find my security in chasing this world’s definition of success and my identity in unhealthy, inappropriate relationships. Once I found Christ and allowed Him to work in my life, fully submitting to His will, I was freed from that mindset and I find my security and identity in Christ alone.

 As some of you know, I love to travel and meet new people and learn about their cultures.  After a series of events and LOTS of prayers in regarding how I can use that desire to invest in His kingdom, I was given the opportunity to go to Haiti.  I will join a few hundred other young adults to build relationships through serving the people of Haiti and share Christ with Haitians who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  

If you feel led, there are two different ways you can help:

1.  You can be a part of my experience by helping me fund this trip financially. If you feel led, you can donate to the link on this page in my name or send me a personal message!  The trip costs $1,850 which includes flights, training, November UNASHAMED (weekend retreat sharing the gospel in Dallas), lodging and supplies in Haiti. 

2.   If you cannot support me financially, please PRAY for our team!  Pray that we will serve these people in a way that will bring them closer to God. Pray that we will show His love, mercy and grace to everyone we meet. Please pray for wisdom and clarity for the team on how to serve Him better in all areas.

Watermark is excited to continue partnering with Mission of Hope Haiti (MOH), an Evangelical, holistic ministry that has been operating in Haiti for over 40 years. The MOH complex sits on 90 acres of land and employs over 150 Haitians. Their ministry reaches approximately 7700 children through the School of Hope, houses almost 70 children in the Hope House Orphanage, serves more than 2500 patients every month in the Hope Clinic, shepherds over 1000 adults, youth, and children from surrounding villages through the Church of Hope, and feeds over 90,000 Haitians each day.
