My name is Taylor Searcy and I am a graduate student at West Texas A&M University studying Communication Disorders. Missionary work has always been a dream of mine and helping people has always been my passion, even further, helping children holds a special place in my heart. When Hope Speaks came to share about their organization, two minutes in, and I already knew in my heart, this was something I wanted to do. This Spring/Summer 2021 opportunity, is such a unique experience for my life because I am able to combine two things I love into one mission; sharing Christ with others and providing therapy to children in need. I am asking you to join me on this journey in two different ways; 1. Pray for protection, provision, and prosperity for me and the lives impacted. 2. Donate what your heart desires to my fundraiser. Thank you for your love and support.Hope Speaks is a nonprofit based in Kampala, Uganda. Their mission is to inspire hope and raise voices of people with disabilities through speech therapy, advocacy, education, and social services. In Uganda, 1 in 7 children are living with a disability. Hope Speaks' main focus is on making speech, language, and feeding therapy accessible for hundreds of children. In therapy, they help children learn to communicate their wants, needs, and ideas, build social skills, and swallow safely, as well as empower and educate families and communities about disabilities and available resources to help people of all abilities reach their fullest potential.
Thank you so much for being a part of my life and helping me accomplish something that's important to all of us! God bless you!
