My Dream come true!  

When I was a teenager my dreams were to help other people.  Although I do this every day while taking care of elderly people, (and it is my passion) I truly believe my mission in life is to do mission work.  Mission trips are a calling for me and I am so excited to have been chosen for this trip.  My greatest dream will be coming true. 

This experience will give me opportunities to learn, serve, connect, and fall in love with Uganda and its people and do what I love the most., to help others. My hope is that I walk away from this trip with a greater understanding of the problems facing the people of Uganda, an appreciation of the unique culture and country in which they live, a deeper connection to the mission of hope, a stronger desire to advocate on behalf of those in need and a heart full of love and peacefulness from doing what is so passionate to me.

On this journey I hope to participate in all these events:

• Visit the Sole Hope facilities and connect with the staff

• Participate in a Jigger Clinic

• Volunteer at the Outreach House

• Explore Jinja town and the Source of the Nile

• Get dirty (there’s nothing quite like the red dirt roads of Uganda)

• Be challenged

• Be changed

• Have a one-of-a-kind experience
