The #TenDollarTribe is a group of people who commit to giving $10 a month to our Community Impact Center in Inquitos, Peru. As the Tribe grows, the impact will exponentially increase from providing hot meals to students and salaries for teachers to constructing sanitary toilets, new classrooms and even beginning a trade school! Your generosity will serve as a foundational element of support for the communities of Inquitos and Belen. Through this, our hope is to alleviate the pressures of extreme poverty and keep families together.
Within the Peruvian communities of Inquitos and Belen, your $10 will be used to impact lives on a daily basis. For example, $10 will buy 20 hot meals for school children. Or, it might instead provide a full day’s salary for a local teacher. In conjunction with other tribe members, your $10 can help construct new bathrooms for the younger students, build additional classrooms, or even help launch a business and trade school!
As always, this work is being accomplished through amazing local leaders; in Peru, our leaders are Mercedes Malpartida and her son Willie. Mercedes launched Kairos Ministries 20 years ago, and since that time, she and her family have been tirelessly building bridges in their community by providing quality education and care for vulnerable children, and counseling and support for struggling families.
We truly believe that a large #TenDollarTribe will bring immediate and lasting change to the Inquitos and Belen communities, and that will seep out into the entire country of Peru.
Imagine what 50 #TenDollarTribe members could do for a Community Impact Center. Now, dream about what hundreds of members could do!
If you would prefer to give a one-time donation to our #TenDollarTribe campaign, you may do that here. As the #TenDollarTribe grows, the Community Impact Centers will begin construction on much needed infrastructures such as classrooms and sanitary toilet facilities. Your one-time donation will be allocated towards these much needed building projects.
