What is the #TenDollarTribe?

The #TenDollarTribe is a group of people who commit to giving $10 every month to our Community Impact Centers around the world. As the Tribes grow, their impact will exponentially increase from providing hot meals and educational opportunities to constructing community buildings and facilities. Your generosity will serve as a foundational element of support for the communities we serve. Through this, our hope is to alleviate the pressures of extreme poverty and keep families together.

What will the #TenDollarTribe impact be?

Pestel, a small community on the southwest peninsula of Haiti, was hit hard by the earthquake, with the once-robust coffee trade nearly destroyed. Pestel’s #TenDollarTribe will bring much needed support to this struggling area. 

For example, it could provide food for 10 children each day or give a fair daily wage for teachers and thus help educate children. It can also help pay for caretakers for children, so local parents can work and provide for their families. As the #TenDollarTribe-Pestel grows and these regular needs are consistently met, the money can begin to accumulate to build things like clean water access points.

As always, this work is being accomplished through amazing local leaders; in Pestel, this means Pastor Gaetan Alcegaire. We know that the #TenDollarTribe will change the lives of the children and families in Pestel, and that will impact the entire country of Haiti.

Why Pestel, Haiti?
