Thank you for visiting our Guatemala 2016 web page!  We are excited to share with you a wonderful opportunity that we have to travel to one of the poorest countries in Central America to share the love of Christ with those less fortunate. We are part of a team of people from New Hope Church who will leave on August 6th for a week long trip to Guatemala. We have selected Guatemala because of the immense poverty that exists there.  It is estimated that over 55% of the population is at or below the internationally defined poverty line of $2/day.

While in Guatemala, we will be doing a variety of projects for a community in the village of Rincon de Picaya.  These projects will include helping to build shelters, delivering stoves, providing food and ministering to the needs of the people.  We also will be helping to lead a bible school for young children and providing them with some very basic needs such as clothes, shoes, and hygiene products such as soap and tooth paste.  While in Guatemala, we'll be partnering with "Clubhouse Guatemala", whose mission is to share the good news about Jesus while providing for those living in poverty.
