Hello Friends and Family,
This year, my Mission Trip is called “GO Winnipeg”. Yup, that Winnipeg. Luckily, I’ll be going in July (22-29) when our neighbors to the north are pretty much done with their snow shovels.
But, before I dive into the details of the trip, I want y’all to know how much I appreciate the help - the sacrifices - that you have made over the years to make sure that Colby and I get to have repeated opportunities to live out the gospel while learning about the world (and, while working our fannies off).
So, here is my 2017 Hill Country Bible Church Mission…
I will experience
the thrill of working in a metropolitan Canadian city, ministering to many
diverse groups. With a total city population of 663,000, the North End of
Winnipeg has a high concentration of Filipino, First Nations, and other migrant
populations. There are immense social challenges in this region that make it a
ripe place for the gospel to be shared and for a harvest field to be raised up.
My week will be full of training and opportunities to share our faith in the
community alongside local believers. I will get to taste traditional Canadian aboriginal
foods and culture. And, more importantly, I get to give a week of my time so
that the lives of countless others might be impacted for eternity.
What I Need for the Trip:
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
