June 26th we will head to Latvia for our 16 summer of Camp Hope along with 35 US team members. When we arrive in Latvia, we will connect with an equal number of Latvians to host camp for about 200 of the most amazing kids you've ever met.
Camp Hope is an overnight summer camp for disadvantaged and high-risk children. Camp Hope offers is a time away from really tough circumstances and gives a chance to just be kids, to have fun, to eat three healthy meals each day, to sleep well, and to be loved and delighted in. The goal is that every child leave camp having the most fun they have ever had, and even more importantly, knowing that God is real, that He loves them more than they could possibly imagine, and that He wants a relationship with them.
We’re excited about what God is going to do in and through us as we serve Him. In order to go to Latvia, we have two huge needs. First we need people who will commit to pray for us, for the team, and for the Latvian kids that attend Camp Hope. Second we need people who are willing to contribute financially to our trip. We need to contribute a total of $5000 to the financial needs of the team. Along with transportation, that amount will contribute to filling a suitcase with more than fifty pounds of camp supplies, help pay for the rental of facilities, cover the food for two weeks, pay for some local cooks, and more. Every kid comes to camp for free. But it’s only free to them. If you feel God calling you to come alongside us and invest financially in the work God is going to do in Latvia this summer we would be so humbled and grateful.
We will be keeping you up-to-date on our trip via this website. We’ll post pictures and share stories and prayer requests.
Thanks so much for considering supporting us on our trip to Latvia!
