This year I’m joining Help One Now on their Advocacy Team to raise money for family empowerment for ONE DAY, May 7th! This is a nonprofit that I believe in! They empower high capacity leaders and  families to change poverty cycles and create a brighter future for people in many of the same counties that I also partner with at Noonday Collection. FAMILY EMPOWERMENT DAY is a day to raise awareness and funding to help families around the world empower themselves out of poverty.

Families embody the heart and soul of any society. Families nurture, inspire, and enable individuals and communities to thrive. Unfortunately, families experiencing poverty face mounting pressures and limitations that make it incredibly difficult for them to stay together and flourish.

We’ve learned over the years that empowering families with sustainable tools and resources is the most effective way to end extreme poverty and keep families together. Creating sustainable income not only provides for the needs of the whole family, it also activates the potential of the next generation while reshaping entire communities.

We have already helped over 400 families with our Family Empowerment pilot program in Ethiopia with over 96% of families becoming self-sustaining business owners and community contributors. We are beginning to extend our family empowerment efforts to more countries with a vision to empower 100,000 families by 2030.
