Our Family Empowerment Program shifts the narrative; it helps keep struggling families together!

The Help One Now Family Empowerment Program continues to grow with proven results as more families complete the program, discover their God given strengths and start successful businesses. Many families are exhibiting remarkable and lasting change as they progress through the program and sharpen their business skills. Joy, confidence and a sense of dignity are common themes among business owners as they gradually increase their income, gain financial stability and provide for their families. Through business training, mentorship, and resources, thriving families create thriving communities.

The abundant success experienced in the Ethiopian communities of Wolaita Sodo and Gunchire so far, have led to the planned launch of programs in nearby Butajira and Hawassa later this year. 

In 2019, we expect exponential growth as we expand into other global communities and strategically move toward a goal of empowering 500 families in 2019. 

2018 ETHIOPIA PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

• 287 graduates with established businesses so far

• 200 more families set to complete training and launch businesses by the end of this year

• 569% average increase in monthly income for families that have completed 1 year of business

• 1,274 children of program families enrolled in school, with 29 at the university level

• 296 businesses started through the program, 25 new additional businesses started by graduates and another 200 new businesses set to launch by early 2019
