Family and Friends,
 Over the past fifteen years, Trent and I have had the wonderful opportunity to raise our five children in a wonderful home. They have been taught about Jesus, been given incredible educational opportunities, raised around loving family members, and have always had all their needs met and more. Unfortunately, at times, these blessings can be overlooked and taken for granted. Many children and families around the world are not so blessed. As parents we have tried to instill a heart for service, a desire to give, and a passion for spreading the hope of the gospel in our children. Years ago I was introduced to Sole Hope, an incredible mission in Uganda, Africa that brings hope and healing through jigger removal, outreach, shoes and community education. I fell in love with their mission and began supporting them from home. We hosted shoe cutting parties where the templates and fabric we cut were then sent to Africa to be made by local women for pay into shoes. We were able to collect simple medical supplies to help at the clinics.  Most importantly, we were able to pray for these families, communities and workers that they would share in the same hope we hold in our Lord. This summer, Scout ( our oldest daughter) and I have the opportunity to travel with a team to Uganda to serve as the hands and feet with this organization. Yes! We will get to wash their feet, remove their jiggers, fit them for shoes, share the hope and serve the least of His. I am overwhelmed at the prospect of sharing my love for this mission with my daughter and the opportunity to work alongside her for Him. On this journey we can expect to:
