At Help One Now, we strive to see the children we care for become self-sustaining adults who break the cycle of poverty. We want them to leave our sponsorship with the education and life-skills they need to have a flourishing future.
In Zimbabwe, a critical step to meeting this goal was the creation of The Gatehouse Agricultural Training Center. The Gatehouse empowers students who are aging out of the children's home Musha Wevana. It equips these students with skills and resources to farm food for themselves or seek employment in the commercial agricultural industry. The Gatehouse is a source of practical training, confidence, and a hope for a bright future!
The Gatehouse launched this year to train 5 bright students! In 2019, more students will join the program to receive education and skills that will prepare them to enter adulthood. To do this, a dorm must be built on the Gatehouse campus to house the students seeking vocational training, but are legally aging-out of Musha We Vana.Marondera, Mashonaland East Province, Zimbabwe
