A dear friend of ours, Jason Carney, prayed that God would show him what would be
next in their lives after he and his family had served 2 years in Malawi as missionaries.
Over the next four nights, God revealed a piece at a time of a very large picture that
would eventually grow into the organization that we know as 2ndMilk.
Those 4 areas are:

Birth to 2 years of age - provide formula and porridge for nutrition to the most vulnerable
-
2 years to 5 years of age - continue to provide nutrition in the form of porridge and other vital nutrients
-
School Age - provide the ability to sponsor children to attend private school
-
Sustainability - Build chicken houses in the villages and teach villagers how to grow chickens, produce food for their families, and trade with other villages
Death is rampant in Africa from starvation, malnutrition,
HIV, malaria, and murder. It is sadly a “death culture”.
Here are just a few of the ways that God is moving in

- In it’s first three+ years, 2ndMilk has provided over 1,000,000 bottles of life-giving
formula to babies in villages.
- We have almost 75 fully sponsored babies in our program receiving life giving formula/
porridge each week.
- We are well into the construction phase of our first chicken house in a village outside
Lilongwe, Malawi.
I have had the opportunity to travel to Malawi on 3 different occasions and each time I am refreshed and reminded of just how much we take for granted here in America. This June, Lisa will get the opportunity to make her second trip. Also, we have been praying and decided that Taylor is old enough to experience the culture first-hand and will be traveling with us as
well.
This trip is not cheap and we are coming humbly before you now asking you for a few things:
- We ask that you pray for us leading up to and while we are in country in June.
- We ask that you pray about financially supporting us on our journey. The total cost for all 3 of us will total $12,000.
EVERY donation made to our trip, and written to 2ndMilk, over $100 is completely
tax-deductible and 2ndMilk will provide you with a tax form at the beginning of 2020.
Please submit your donations by March 29, 2019.This date allows us to secure
air travel at the cheapest possible price.

Founded in 2015, 2ndMilk is a non-profit organization committed to saving the lives of malnourished and orphaned infants in Africa and around the globe. The organization is a sponsorship program where we deliver formula, food, blankets and bottles for babies each week, from birth through age 2. Our program continues through age 5, where nutrition and training is continually provided. If a child in our program becomes abandoned or orphaned, we partner with our Hague-approved adoption agency who facilitates international adoption. 2ndMilk also establishes farms which provide local protein and jobs in those communities, as well as nutrition to children in our program. The income from the chicken houses is used to send the children in our program to private, Christian schools. Our organization provides for the vulnerable and equips them with resources and knowledge to live a healthy life.
