I hope that you are doing well and are enjoying the warming weather of spring. It is so wonderful to see the rebirth of nature. In 2019, after retiring from the Air National Guard as a Chaplain Assistant, I felt the calling to continue serving others, which includes global missions. After listening to David Platt’s sermon on “reaching the unreached” and through the conviction of the Holy Spirit, I felt God’s calling in the direction of global missions. I am certainly working in local ministry, IMPACT, which reaches out to some children in the Bentonville area by coming to their apartments to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I had planned a few mission trips earlier (2020, 2021 and 2022), but due to COVID, these trips cancelled. I am now part of a group heading to Malawi in Africa this summer.

I am a member of Cross Church in Northwest Arkansas. Through the “Decade of Love”, Cross Church is committed to sending out people on mission journeys, short term to long term. This has always been a part of the Cross Church mission . . . to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to “Northwest Arkansas, America and the World.” I am so blessed to be a part of this vision.

For our trip to Malawi, we will be in country from May 30 to June 8. Cross Church has had a mission in Malawi since 2002. You can find out more about this ministry at www.iFeed.one. Cross Church has several trips to Malawi each year with our team continuing that engagement of the Malawian people. It is a blessing to be a part of this team as we meet with and support the mission leaders in Malawi. Knowing that you will be praying for our team will certainly give us all personal strength during this process and journey.

I would like to ask for your support in two ways:

1) Pray support! We all know the value of prayer and how essential it is for such mission trips. Please pray the Malawian people will open their hearts to hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Pray for safe travels there and back, for financial provision for each team member and for personal growth in Christ as we serve our Lord and the Malawian people.

2) Financial support! If you feel lead to support this trip financially, I would be grateful. Each member needs to raise their own support. For me, that amount is around $2390 to cover the cost of the entire trip. This is a journey that God has called me to, and any donation would be most appreciated.
