God is doing something amazing in the world today. Behind all the chaos and headlines, He is working to draw people from every tribe, tongue, and nation to Himself so that the earth is filled with the knowledge of His glory just as the waters cover the sea! (Habakkuk 2:14) 

A country in one of the most unreached corners of the globe is Sri Lanka– an island nation the size of West Virginia, made up of 23 million people living in 38,000 villages and several growing cities. Sri Lanka's population is 70% Buddhist, 10% Muslim, 12.5% Hindu, and 6% Catholic. This means that apporoximately 1.5% (only 350,000) are followers of Jesus. 

After spending some time in South Asia, God has made His calling clear to us. In 2027, we plan to move to Colombo, Sri Lanka, where we will be fully focused on making disciples among the Sinhala-speaking Buddhist population. As of today, there is little to no sustained missionary work among them, but our prayerful desire is for all 16 million Buddhists to have the opportunity to respond to the gospel, follow Jesus, and fellowship with a healthy local church. 

We know that this vision will not be accomplished simply by our presence on the island, but we believe that we can make a dent in this pocket of lostness through the missionary task of evangelism, discipleship, and healthy church planting. Alongside this, our strategy will be to equip local leaders to equip their people to obey the great commission faithfully. We can't reach millions alone, but we trust God can and will work through His church to cover this island with the knowledge of His name, and we are eager to join Him in this work among these people!
