Last year, April and I went to Ecuador and shared the Gospel with tons of people. This year, God has called Abbie to go as well. We are so excited to be called to go share with the people of Ecuador. This was a life changing experience for us. I wish I had the words to better describe what your help will allow us to do. This trip is a whole week of being 100% focused on nothing but sharing God's love with people who truly want to hear. These people hunger and thirst for the word of God like a man long lost in a desert.
I don't think I could ever describe what its like to be a missionary in Ecuador, but I'm gonna attempt. You wake up early in the morning, pack your bag with a couple gallons of drinking water, Bibles, note cards, pens, protein bars, give away candies, your journal, and anything else you think may help you lead someone to Christ. Then you walk to the church and share breakfast and a worship service with the rest of the team and translators. After the morning worship is over, the pastor of the church your group of 3 or 4 Americans are working with picks you up in his personal vehicle and takes you to the community where you'll be sharing. After going to splitting up and visiting 3-4 homes each, its around lunchtime, which means someone from the pastor's church has cooked something at their house and wants you to come eat and share your day's stories. Then back to the streets. We see several more houses and make sure we're back in time to get back to church before evening worship and sharing. We share a meal, then go back to our rooms and pray and thank God for all he used you to do today and to let it be even better the next day. Write in your journal some so you can unwind and also so you never forget what happened and who you were blessed enough to be able to meet.
If you feel that God has called you to experience this for yourself, Please sign up and go with us. You'll never regret doing what God has called you to do. If you don't think its the right time for you to go, please consider supporting us in our efforts to follow God's will.
