I am going
to Ecuador! I have been feeling “the
call” to go somewhere, sometime, for the past two years, and the opportunity
has put itself before me to go do what I know God has equipped me to do – listen
to and love on people who are hurting and share the Good News and Love of Jesus
with them. The people of Bahia, Ecuador,
are still suffering the traumatic effects of having their world fall down
around them after an earthquake (7.8 magnitude) hit this region in April of
2016, and God is allowing me the chance to be His hands and feet to minister to
them.
First, please
be in prayer for me. This is the most
important thing I can ask of you. Also
pray for our team and for the hearts of the people to whom we will minister to
be prepared to hear the Gospel.
Now the hard
part for me. I do not like “asking” for
money. My nature would be to worry about
how I will come up with this money on my own, especially since I am not the
only one in my family committing to go, but I have been told that there are
those who will want to be a part of this mission through their giving since
they cannot or do not feel led to go themselves. Therefore, I will trust the Lord to provide,
and I will not limit how He chooses to do so by NOT asking. So, if you feel led to be a part of this with
me, my gratitude will be multi-faceted – first to the Lord who is providing
through others and then to you for being obedient to Him. Please pray to know what God would have you
do.
