If you did not know, last year, I was able to go on a mission trip in the rural areas of Brazil. I helped local villagers obtain clean drinking/showering water. In addition, I was also given the opportunity to be a part of 2 community clinics, at which myself and other volunteers provided health education and interventions for people who suffered from back pain and several other issues. Most importantly, I had the opportunity to share the love of Christ with beautiful people who lived along the Amazon River. This trip taught and reminded me of humility, hard work, and the overwhelming love of God.

This September, I have the opportunity to participate in another medical mission trip to Samoa. On this trip, I will be able to join a church as they host vacation Bible school for the local children. I will have the chance to provide healthcare and education to those who need it. Under a licensed OT, I will also be able to apply the skills I have learned throughout my time in the occupational therapy program.
