Participants will be supporting 99 Balloons’ Global Partner in Nicaragua. In addition to experiencing the story of disability in Nicaragua, team members will provide training for local staff, physical therapists, direct care for kids with disabilities, and therapy training/equipping for parents. The team will be working at a community center that serves children, parents, and families experiencing disability through therapy, parenting classes, and special education support.
Something I strive to do as a mom is empower my children to follow their dreams and most importantly Gods calling. If I can teach them anything in this life it’s to love God above everything else. What better way to do this than to show them!
This January I have an opportunity to partner with an organization called 99 Balloons and take a trip to Nicaragua. I will be joining a team of therapists where we will be providing OT and PT services to families and children in poverty in Nicaragua, as well as training and educating local therapists. The story of disability is often one of loneliness, isolation, and shame especially in communities where resources are scarce. But the truth is that we are ALL created in the image of God and loved beyond measure by the one who created it all. This truth can change everything and what a joy it is that I am given the opportunity to proclaim this truth!
I don’t want to do this alone so I’m inviting you to join me! I’m asking you to join me financially and prayerfully to make this trip possible. I am praying and believing in Gods provision and in the work He is doing around the world. Thank you for partnering with me on this journey!
