Friends and Family,

For many years, our family has felt called to orphan care, and so many of our family and friends have partnered with us through prayer, donations and financial contributions. With your support, we've been privileged to share the love of Christ with four orphaned children from Latvia and Ukraine. 

We are excited to announce we've begun the process of adopting one of those beautiful children from Latvia.  (To protect her identity online, we'll call her Sunshine.) In Dec 2013, we met our future daughter through hosting, and then re-hosted her three times as we waited for her to become available for adoption. She has spent the majority of her precious life in foster care, but now it's time for her to have a forever family as a Frachiseur.  

We've started a fundraiser on Pure Charity to raise the funding that we need to make our adoption a success. We have a donation goal of $20,000 that will go towards the adoption fees, legal fees, US immigration fees, and the three required trips to Latvia. As of January 2016, our home study will be complete and we will be ready to submit the paperwork for approval. Should all go smoothly, we hope to make our first trip to Latvia in June 2016.
