Back in summer of 2017 I had the privilege to travel with my church on a mission trip to Africa and my time spent there was life-changing which made me decide that nursing was a career I wanted to get into. I applied to Loma Linda University knowing that before I graduated if the opportunity presented itself I would love to take on at least one of the many mission trips that the institution offers.

Each summer, a select few of students from Loma Linda School of Nursing travel to Botswana, Africa for one month as part of their Public Health Nursing (PHN) course. The PHN course focuses on the optimal wellness of the client and the community in partnership with local nursing staff serving the community often in Primary Health Centers.

Nursing students who have participated in this international experience in the past have found it life-changing, eye-opening, and an inspiration for themselves and the people with whom they have shaped their experience. Now that the opportunity has presented itself I'm asking for your help. My goal is to raise $1,500 for this trip and you can be a part of this life-changing experience with me by making a donation today!
