IN HAITI...
- Since the earthquake, many people are still living in makeshift housing.
- Poor living conditions leave people open to elements like rain, disease, and crime.
- Most houses cost around $6,000 to build and can take a family around 10 years to save and build.
- Almost every living condition in Haiti is unsanitary with no running water or septic system.
- An average number of 7 Haitians live in each 400 square foot dwelling.
- Building homes for displaced families.
- Rebuilding and repairing homes found in poor condition.
- Supplying jobs for Haitian workers.
- Providing training for Haitians on the craft of construction and masonry.
- Financially giving to the Block of Hope program, providing funds for the building and reparation of houses in Haiti the cost of a home is $6,000.
- Collecting currently needed resources for our home building projects.
- Attending a trip into Haiti or the Dominican Republic to participate in the building of homes.
