Friends and Family,

I am so excited to share with you my opportunity to go to Haiti on a missions trip this spring break. My churches high school team will be going with a group made up of Juniors and Seniors. This will be my second trip to Haiti.

     On our trip we will be serving the people of Haiti in many ways. Some of the things we will be doing will include, delivering meals to needy communities, helping build homes, visiting orphanages, and most importantly spreading the gospel.

     Words cannot describe my excitement about going on this trip. My freshman year was the first time I went so I had no idea what to expect. What I found was a country full of the most generous and selfless people I have ever met. While visiting an orphanage we gave each child a snack, I then watched as each child offered to share their snack with the others. They would even try to offer some to me. It blew my mind that these children with nothing, still try to give up what little is given to them. For this reason it’s makes the idea of serving these people, who are always ready and willing to serve others, just even more amazing.
