Hi! My name is Angelica Mourges, and I have been involved with Haiti since 2014. I have lived in the capital, Port au Prince, for the past 2 1/2 years teaching at a Christian school.

I am excited to announce that God has led me down a new path starting in 2021. I will be working with Life Ansanm (Together) as the Education/Communications Director. Life Ansanm's mission is to do life TOGETHER by partnering with the commUNITY of Cap Rouge in the needs of the church, education, job creation/community development and family care.

The average Haitian has less than 5 years of primary schooling. Most Haitian schools are private, and families cannot afford the expensive monthly tuition to keep their children enrolled in secondary schooling. Therefore, almost half of the adult population is illiterate.

In my new position, I will be working TOGETHER with the Haitian School Director on tasks such as: updating the curriculum, recruiting qualified teachers, hosting teacher trainings, and starting an after school program. As Communications Director, I will be posting updates on Life Ansanm's social media and sending out monthly newsletters to donors- so be sure follow us on Facebook and Instagram!

Life Ansanm strives to put 100% of their donations back into the organization's hospital, school and other commUNITY programs.
