About this Fundraiser

Why the Kramers are doing this

As a classroom teacher myself I was blown away to hear that just $3000 can fund a classroom for an entire year. Including teacher's salary and training, supplies, and admin costs. And the stories I've heard of the dedication these teachers show toward their students, and their communities is just so compelling. Watch the video below to see one teacher's journey to school everyday. My family and I were compelled to see how much we could do to help.

One way we plan to raise funds for this is by hosting a Poker Tournament on Jason's birthday Saturday, November 4 at 6pm. No experience needed just come have a good time and help out a great cause!

Austin New Church + Help One Classroom

Austin New Church is honored to partner with Help One Now and their brilliant, passionate leaders around the world. Help One Now partners with local leaders in 7 countries, who are doing remarkable work to serve vulnerable children and families. Together, we walk alongside these leaders in a mutual struggle for progress to help them fulfill their vision and impact their communities.

As a church, we are committed to justice and serving the least, both in our city and far beyond our borders.  We believe EDUCATION is one of the most effective ways to make a LASTING IMPACT, as communities transform from within!  And so, the people of Austin New Church, alongside our partners at Help One Now, are raising funds to support 15 Classrooms for the 2017-2018 school year!

$3,000 funds ONE classroom for ONE year!

This support includes: Teacher SALARIES (65%), Teacher TRAINING (7%), Classroom SUPPLIES (8%), and ADMINISTRATION (20%).

What is Help One Classroom?

HELP ONE CLASSROOM, an initiative of Help One Now, is an ongoing campaign to invest in the education of children in Haiti & Uganda. Education transforms communities & breaks the cycle of extreme poverty. And it all starts with TEACHERS. A good teacher makes a world of difference, so we are raising funds for teacher salaries, training and supplies. By ensuring that the teachers can provide for themselves and their families, and equipping them with necessary supplies and training, we enhance the education of thousands of students.

Why Education?

Because, the future of every country, city and community lies in its children.  Education saves children’s lives, promotes girl’s and women’s rights, and makes people healthier.  Education boosts economic growth, reduces poverty, and increases income.

As education transforms communities and breaks the cycle of extreme poverty, we are bringing opportunity & hope to entire regions!
