"N" is amazing at learning English! She's doing so well and adjusting so quickly. She reports that she was so scared to come to America, as she would not know how to communicate with us. Google translate has been a great tool for us! We have 8 days left before she takes off. She leaves the 29th. She is already asking how many days and gets sad when we tell her how many are left. She visited a bit with the director during our home meeting today. It's always neat to hear the native Russian speakers talk. She loves America and loves Colorado. Thank you all for continuing to give towards bringing her home. We will continue to make updates when we know more and establish what is okay to share. Just know that she has told us that she appreciates all of you for helping her to get to America! This was a trip of a lifetime for her and one that she would have probably never had the opportunity to take, if it hadn't been for all of you here and those who have sent money directly to us. We still encourage all of you to put yourselves out there. Make yourselves available for these children. They need us to love them and care for them! If you don't know how to start, contact us. We will help you make an informed decision with what we know already. The older children are the ones that are being left. Commit to adopting an older child! This has been an amazing almost month for us. We've had great challenges and God has brought us through every one of them. He is still on the throne! Our 4 year old asked me the other day, "Momma does God sleep at night?". It reminded me of this:
O Lord, you have searched me and known me! 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. 3 You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. 5 You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. Psalm 139:1-6
As her time here draws to a close, please pray for: 1. Her travel back to Eastern Europe 2. Her protection 3. Her salvation 4. Her paperwork for adoption 5. Her ability to choose her forever home with us 6. Her funding for adoption with us
Pray for us and for our children. We will all miss her very much and greatly desire to have her to be our forever daughter/sister. Pray that we are able to still keep in contact with her by Skype and VK (Eastern Europe's version of Facebook). Pray that she can receive packages from us. Pray for more Christians to rise up and care for these fatherless children.
