Hello from Malawi!

A lot has been going on here at Esther's House, and we want to share with you.  The pastor at Esther's House continues to make home visits to every widow in the program.  This continues to be a constant source of joy for these agogo's (grandparents) because they really feel cared for!  Each time Pastor Ronald goes out to their homes, he meets their family, shares a message, and prays with them.  

There have been several widows who also passed away this year due to old age.  For their funerals, all the widows attend together and spend time grieving.  Although experiencing loss is never easy, it is bitter-sweet to see the community built at Esther's House really show during these hard times.

The widows will also be celebrating a graduation tomorrow at Esther's House.  There were 4 secondary (high school) graduates this year from the Esther's House community child program and the widows are looking forward to celebrating with everyone.  There will be singing, speeches, poem readings, and more!
