It was the first time to Lilongwe (Malawi's capitol) for many, and first time for everyone to see the Malawian Airport and airplanes!
Due to several trips to the airport in May and June, bringing 2 residential children along each trip worked out perfectly! Most Malawians who live in the village won't ever get the opportunity to experience what the 8 residential children got to see. They were able to see several planes land and take off, along with seeing a variety of people from different cultures in the airport.
The rest of the day was spent doing some shopping (which they all loved seeing big grocery stores for the first time) and eating out!
Thank you for making this trip possible! Seeing new things and understanding how much more there is in Malawi besides the area they live in is so important and will help them continue to be motivated towards their life/career goals. And it's good to just have fun experiencing/seeing new things :)
Enjoy the pictures!
