We made so many steps forward toward our baby girl last month! Our background checks finally came in so that our homestudy could be approved and our i800A paperwork submitted. We are waiting now for our USCIS fingerprint appointments. Other than the i800A approval paperwork and the pictures that still need to be emailed to WACAP, our dossier paperwork is all together and ready to start the Authentication process.
We have been working hard on fundraising. Our great friend Tracy hosted an online Arbonne event for us. I learned so much about their products and hope others did as well. Just last week another friend, Lori hosted an online LuLaRoe event for us. In addition to great merchandise, it was awesome to meet some more people who have grown their families through adoption. We also were able to mail out t-shirt orders and just love the shirts so much. Huge thank you to Erika at E-Designs for orchestrating that process for us.
We have found a couple of adoption grants to apply for with deadlines in either October or November so that is on the to-do list now. We were also approved for a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) so that is a huge help with the big chunk of expenses that we had due with our dossier.
We were fortunate to get an update on our beautiful girl! We received 2 pictures and an 18 second video. No measurements at this time but the orphanage has indicated that they will get us those at at later time. Our girl is still in a crib located by a huge window which has to be so miserable given her light sensitivity due to her Albinism. We were thrilled though to see her being able to pull herself up and walk around her crib and she just has the most precious little smile. We continue to send messages out to the universe in hopes that she knows she is loved to the moon and back and we will be there as soon as we can.
