Since June we have reached 10% of our Pure Charity fundraising goal!  Words just can't express how blessed we feel and how much we appreciate everyone who is walking  this journey with us. 

So much has happened in just a few short months..we had our last set of interviews and home visit today.  Our social worker from Evolve is hoping to have a draft of our homestudy to us by the end of next week!  

Once we have an approved homestudy, we can work on finishing up our dossier documents while we are waiting for our i800a (immigration approval to adopt) paperwork and fingerprints to be processed. We can also use the homestudy to apply for several grants that have fall deadlines.  While we are nervous about those applications, it is great to be to the stage where this is what we need to worry about next!  

In the meantime we are selling adoption t-shirts.  I just love the shirt design and message.    You can direct message me through facebook or via email (butlermodaff@gmail.com) if you have any questions or would like to order a shirt.  We have also been in contact with an agency to coordinate a shoe drive--we are pretty excited about this because we can help prevent shoes from going to the landfill, provide start up materials for groups of women in several developing countries, and raise money for our adoption all at once.  We can't wait to share more details on this fundraiser as we have them.  We are getting ready to list a few items online that are left over from our yardsale and trying to save every penny we can by using ebates for our back-to-school supplies.  We are also looking into some loan options to make sure that we are fully exhausting all means possible to bring our baby girl home from China.
