I am pleased to say that everything has been completed as far as the process here during our first trip! It has all went smoothly.

We travelled to his orphanage yesterday and it was a really wonderful day. His director explained that A has always dreamed of having a family but she feared this would never happen for him. He came to the orphanage at age 4 and could not speak! He has been there since then, and she said he has suffered a lot. BUT,  she told us that in Gods time, miracles happen! She explained how he has been so worried with many questions “do they REALLY want to adopt me?” “Are they really Coming?” We all cried during this meeting, even the inspector from the local government who attended.

He asked his director if they could please make a special meal for his parents, and they did. It was amazing, his favorite, a chicken broth and dumpling soup with cabbage rolls. It was one of the sweetest things ever.

Our hearts are so full now. This child who couldn’t speak at 4 can now speak 2 languages fluently, is headed towards his third (English), and can talk your ear right off! This boy who was physically delayed could truly do anything physical and do it well! Apparently he has been taking hip-hop dance classes at his orphanage and his teacher told me he is the best...I’m not surprised! He has overcome so much. We are beyond blessed to welcome him into our family.

So now...we will leave tomorrow. He will join us for winter orphan hosting Thursday, and we will have a few weeks together. I’m told to anticipate coming back for court at the end of January! What an adventure. This crazy love inside us will travel the world to bring our son home.
