We have all we need (finally!) for our Dossier! A friend is going to the US next week and will mail all our papers to our agency. At that time, a $3,400 fee is due. Once that is paid, they will begin notarizing, and putting it all together. When it's put together they will send it to Bulgaria, where they will translate the papers for us. We are currently waiting for USCIS (immigration services) to approve us. This will be our last step before we turn in all our paperwork to our agency. We are so excited to announce that our home study has been completed and approved! This is a huge milestone we have been working toward for several months! Thanks to you and your generosity, we were able to pass the first financial hurdle today! Combining your donations with money we've saved, we were able to pay for our family assessment fee and first two post-adoption reports. We now are waiting for our home study in the next three months. We will keep you updated!

Between fees for our agency, attorney, home study, and the like, it will cost $35,000 to bring our child home.  Fortunately, this cost is spread throughout the process.
