ADOPTION UPDATE: (Dec. 2019)
Sorry it has been a while since I last updated on here:
But for all who are still following along - here is a recent update as to where Heidi & I are in the adoption processes and with life in general.
Last April (2019) I was contacted by a college friend who knew someone who was pregnant and considering adoption. Heidi & I met with that birth mother and it appeared things were going to move forward and while there were some bumps in the road all was looking positive. The baby was born at the beginning of October, a little boy. However, following the birth of the little boy, the father in question of the boy decided he wanted to parent, so things changed quickly. We went from having great hopes of welcoming a child into our home - to broken hearts and dashed dreams within a matter of a week.
So as of the mid-October, Heidi & I went back on the waiting list to be matched with a another potential birth mother and child.
This is twice where we have been so close and things have fallen through. We continue to pray and trust in the Lord that He will answer our prayers according to His will.
In the midst of all of this, we sold our previous house in Illinois, unfortunately, we lost money on that home and had to dip into our savings to help unload that burden.
We are great full to be able to unload that burden and move forward.
We continue to move forward in prayer with adoption - as we know there are many children in need of a loving home. And we have plenty of love to share.
If you would like to share in that love and support - we would be more than happy to have your prayers and support.
Whenever a child is placed with us, there will be one final fee left for us to pay of about $10K. To date, we have already paid over $15K through personal loans and savings, as well as some assistance from family and friends. We are truly appreciative of all that support we have received.
As we continue to wait - trusting in the Lord and His will for our family and the long adoption journey we have been on, we are asking the following from our support system:
1) Please keep us in your prayers.
Not just the Yaw family, but for the birth mothers who choose life for their child(ren) and the tough decision of choosing adoption.
2) As we near the end of our adoption, we face some of our final big cost. If you would be so willing consider making a donation to the Yaw Adoption Fund and buying a Puzzle Piece as we wait for our missing piece. (Go here to learn more and to make a donation:

3) Pray for other families who also desire to adopt and are seeking ways to make it more feasible. And that we as a country would invest more in life and adoption.
Blessings,
Larry & Heidi
