Hello! :)

I am excited for the opportunity to go to Portoviejo, Ecuador this summer! Having been on missions to South Africa and Taiwan twice in the past 4 years, I wanted to experience something different. I remember being convicted when Sam Neugent spoke at Living Water Evangelical Church and asked if any would be willing to sacrifice 2% of their time this year to go to Ecuador for missions. I felt like I spend a lot of my time doing things that make my life more comfortable and enjoyable. However, I don't do enough to think and care about other people. I honestly couldn't think of a good excuse to not go on this trip and have the opportunity to make an eternal impact on the people in Portoviejo. 

Many of the people in this city lost everything in an earthquake in Spring 2016. Not only may they need medical and physical attention, but they desperately need to hear the saving message of the Gospel. The Gospel is the only message in the entire world that can save someone from eternal hell. Christ's love compels me to go and to share this message of hope and salvation with them. 

I will depart from Chicago on Friday, June 8th and return on Tuesday, June 19th. Once there, our team will split into the medical team and the evangelism team and go door-to-door in sharing the Good News.
