We're LIVE!! I can't believe it. It is a wonderful feeling to finally be here! Many times through this journey, we have looked at each other and wondered how it would all work out. But every time we wondered; God showed up. This adoption journey has been a huge leap of faith. It has been an incredible time of digging into scripture and feeling a sense of peace and direction that can only come from God. Each time we struggle God provides. We are so grateful for all the support we have received. It seems like each word of encouragement comes at just the right time and we are thankful for all of you. 

So what are the next steps? Now we are listed as an active family with our consultants and will start receiving information of potential matches. With each opportunity we will have time to pray about it and decide if we present our profile book or not. If we say yes then the expectant mother will see our book along with other families that are interested and choose one. If we are chosen than we celebrate and start the planning process with the expectant mom about how we can be supportive to her and explore what level of openness the expectant mother would like. Obviously, there are a lot of variables but generally families are matched around the beginning of the third trimester.

Prayer requests: as you can imagine this stage is incredibly exciting and at the same time another huge leap of faith. Pray for wisdom and peace. I can only imagine the feelings we will experience when we are waiting to hear if we are picked.

Zephaniah 3:16b-17 Cheer up, Zion! Don’t be afraid! For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.
