One year ago, middle schoolers from Rochester, Plainview, Stewartville, Dodge Center, Chatfield, St. Charles, and surrounding areas began a HUGE service project for Sole Hope, an organization that provides adequate footwear for children in Uganda. Thanks to our parishioners' generosity, we were able to cut hundreds of shoe patterns.
The next part of our fundraiser is to help Sole Hope's mission of community empowerment. Sole Hope isn't just about foot health, though that's what got them started. They also help empower local people by creating work at a living work for those locals who put the finishing touches on the shoes. To provide a living wage for these workers as well as help purchase remaining supplies need for the shoes, we are hoping to raise $10 per pair of shoes we cut.
Our goal is to raise at least $2000 by February 28th. If you'd like to find out more about Sole Hope and their mission, please visit SoleHope.org
Thank you for helping us make a difference!
