Sometimes I wonder what story my life would tell if someone shot a documentary on me... 

You would quickly find out I can eat more pizza slices then any male in my office (test me and find out), that I never make my bed (my mom would be so ashamed), that I am a  very passionate about any Arkansas sports team (Woo Pig Sooie!), that I love a glass of wine after work...or a bowl of ice cream... or cereal.. or a combination of two of those at once (I'm not picky), and that at any point in my day, I can easily walk to a sink and fill up a glass of water, take a hott shower, or clean my clothes with a good ole fashion washing machine. 

Pretty basic stuff right? To you and me it might be, but to others not so much. 

In fact, did you know that 3x the population of the United States of America lacks access to clean drinking water? America is pretty big... let's just think about that for the second... That's A LOT of people. People who can't take a shower everyday, people who use the same water sources their animals are drinking from, and people who have to walk miles to get a bucket of water not once, but sometimes multiple times during the day.

But what would happen if they did have access to clean water?

Then we'd probably get to see more kids like this one smile more often...

So let's do something about it!

There are five non-profits that are coming together for an event called "WORLD WATER THiRSTDAY" in order to help spread the good news.. the good news of how YOU can get involved. 

They all have amazing water initiatives around the world today that help to provide people around the world with access to clean water. Let's join Generosity Water, Water4, WATERisLIFE, Blood:Water Mission, and LivingWater International in their efforts, and help bring water to Haiti, Ghana, Rwanda and Togo!

Turn my wine into water!

So, because I LOVE wine so much, and I LOVE the idea of people getting clean water to drink like I do everyday, I've decided to turn my wine into water. I pledge not to drink wine at all (there go my Pride and Prejudice movie nights), until this campaign is fully funded. In fact, the money I usually spend on a glass of wine at dinner I will use towards funding these AMAZING projects!

And I challenge you to do the same! What if you didn't drink wine, or coffee, or coke, or whatever you drink over water daily for an entire week? According to my coffee-holic friend I work with, you would save $6.50 a day, so if I did my math right (6.50x7) that would be... drum roll... $45.50. Yes, I'll admit, I did use a calculator. BUT THAT'S $45.50 MORE THEN THESE PROJECTS HAD!
