I wanted to take a moment to share a little more about our journey.  As many of you know we have had adoption on our heart for years!  When Ty and I got married we knew someday we wanted to adopt.  We planned on having 3 or 4 biological kids and adopting 1 child or maybe 2!
       However, everything did not go according to our plan (anyone else😂😜)!  We have 2 biological daughters and after our youngest was born our Dr strongly recommended, for my health, that we not have any more biological children.  We determined at this point, no problem, we could adopt. 
       The path to adoption took us many years and many times we thought God might open this door but it stayed closed!  We have lived in 3 countries, worked with orphans, fostered, and yet God always said wait, not yet, not these children??!! We now have a daughter going off to college and our youngest daughter is starting high school this fall.  We thought we would adopt when our kids were young and start with babies or toddlers who would join our family from a young age.  But God has been working all these years in our hearts and lives to show us something different- and give us the desire to adopt older kids.
        We started to learn about children who need families, who are in sibling groups, and how few of them get adopted!  We knew if we adopted when our children were younger, we would not have been able to adopt older children but because God kept saying wait....now we can adopt a group of older children and a sibling group!!!! (Our agency will not allow you to adopt a child older than your biological children.). For many countries children are considered “to old” to be adopted when they pass their 14 or 15th birthday!!! 😭😭. 
        We have begun this journey with this intention of adopting a sibling group of 2 or 3 boys or mostly boys who are quickly approaching the timeline of aging out!  We are excited to see what teens/preteens God has for our family!  Thank you for your prayers and support as we embark on this remarkable, challenging, life changing (for us and them) adventure to become a family for children who need one!!
