Tree of Hope Haiti is a Christian organization founded by Kervince "Gama" Parayson and his wife Angela. Together with their two young children, Nathan and Nyah, they work to raise funds, host missionary teams, and help meet the basic needs of the people within their community in Grand-Goave, Haiti. Their desire is to be a beacon of hope to those in need.
Tree of Hope Haiti has an unwavering vision to improve both the quality and accessibility to water the through faithful and diligent work of our organization and our supporters.
The mission has already built its first well that provides purified water to more than 500 people who come down from the hillside, walking miles each way, to access the water. While this first water tower has helped many, there are still thousands of people in the mountainous community of Grand-Goave without access to clean water.
After the 2010 earthquake that destroyed many of Haiti’s homes, thousands of families found themselves without shelter. Without the means to rebuild, many people reside in make-shift homes with dirt floors and leaky roofs made from inadequate materials. Often when it rains, people aren’t able to sit or sleep because water infiltrates the home making it almost unusable and it is a struggle to keep their few personal possessions dry. Tree of Hope Haiti is working towards the goal of every family in the community having a permanent, dry, and safe place to call home.
Education in Haiti is not guaranteed and can often be inaccessible or incomplete.
Tree of Hope Haiti has a vision to see every child in the Grand Goave community enrolled in school through a sponsorship program. They also seek to support the already existing schools within the community by helping to improve classrooms and buildings.
