Hurricane Irma is the most massive storm to come out of the Atlantic on record. It has brought torrential rains to Haiti, flooding much of the Northern parts of the island.
In the small village of Ferrier (population: 16,000)
- Over 150 homes damaged or destroyed
- At least 35 farms completely destroyed
- Numerous livestock missing
You support is needed and every dollar counts:
- Build drainage canals to alleviate future flooding issues:
$60 builds 1 meter of canal
- Help relocate and rebuild houses for those that lost their homes:
$15,000 builds 1 hurricane resistant house for 1 family
- Provide food assistance and replanting needs for families that lost their gardens:
$131 provides 1 month of food assistance for 1 family (5-8 people/family)
$200 provides assistance in replanting crops for 1 family
- Provide assistance in purchasing replacement livestock for families that lost their livestock:
$50 provides 1 pig for 1 family
$75 provides 1 goat for 1 family
$300 provides 1 cow for 1 family
All funds raised will go to Hurricane Relief. We will hire Haitian labor, mostly from Ferrier, to complete the projects as well.
We can do more Together than we can apart.
