about Thirst No More
Thirst No More's mission is to transform communities through the power of compassion. Our projects are typically in regions where people have been ravaged by war, tyranny, or natural disasters.
Thirst No More has been on the ground to support relief efforts for Joplin, Haiti, Hurricane Katrina, Darfur-Sunday, Myanmar Cyclone, Hurricane Ike, the Greensburg-Kansas Tornado, and many more disasters around the world.
Thirst No More responds to major disasters with PAKS (Primary Assistance Kits). These kits are designed to meet the basic needs of people who have lost everything. Their contents vary according to the nature of the disaster, the location of the victims, and the availability of supplies.
Typically, PAKS are in a plastic container that can be used to store the items or also to store clean water. The contents include things like soap, wash cloths, towels, sandals, plates, forks, matches, cooking pan, and a flashlight with batteries. We'll also give tools like tarps, saws, hammers, and nails that can be used to build temporary shelter.
