Lessons in Patience and God's Will

We've been active 3 weeks, as of today. We've been seeing cases of Mama's and families making an adoption plan for their babies. These babies are loved beyond measure and so very wanted. They are treasured and beautiful and precious. They are all these things, by their mama's and their families, not just by Joshua and myself. We see cases that break my heart more than others. These are Mama's I want to befriend and hug and show them how priceless and strong and amazing they are. I want to love on them, and share with them how much God loves them and their babies. 

We've presented our profile books and some letters, to 7 brave and strong and loving expectant mama's. There are 5 Mama's that we are awaiting answers from, to see if they want to match with us. "Matching"  would mean that we are entering into her adoption plan, as the Hopeful Adoptive Parents for her sweet child. We would be able to get to know her and the loved ones she has walking along side her. We would continue to pray for her. We are already praying for our future expectant mama and her baby and family, but we would be able to support and love on her, as big as we can! We pray that a relationship can be established, to last a lifetime! Open adoption is a blessing and it's taught me a lot about my own adoption, I didn't even realize affected me. 

We are realizing how close we could be, to needing funds in order to match with our unknown mama. The cases we are seeing are anywhere from $39,000 (agency/expectant momma fees)  to $68,000. These fees aren't including our travel, court costs, finalization, post placement fees and any other expectant mother fees that come up at the last minute (these can be in the thousands). We are doing everything we can to save. We are saving, applying for grants, selling Gobena Coffee and still baking for baby.

Please continue to pray for our unknown expectant momma and the decisions she is making for her child. Pray for her family and their support and love for both of them. Please pray for us, as we are waiting. Please pray for patience and understanding as we await decisions regarding our profile books.
