The Voices Project needs your help! We are seeking to raise funds so that we can lead 30 leaders of color on an 11 day learning journey to Cape Town South Africa.
We are 90% of the way to our goal and need your help to raise $5000 over the next 7 days!
The Voices Project is committed to supporting leaders of color. These under-resourced and often overlooked leaders have a distinct challenge in North America. We are becoming more and more aware of the need to connect with global leaders for mutual learning, support, encouragement and strategy for resisting injustice.
In our time of cultural and political upheaval, the need for this global connection is even more vital.
CAPE TOWN 2016
The Voices Project, in unity with Clerestory, is happy to announce that we have created a partnership with some key organizations and leaders in Cape Town, South Africa. As you may know, South Africa is a country that has walked through the challenge of facing and overcoming large scale systemic racism and injustice. While South Africa clearly still has its challenges, we believe that there is a significant opportunity for mutual learning between the leaders there and the leaders we work with everyday.
Voices leaders Leroy Barber, Mickey Jones, and Romal Tune will be leading a select group of key leaders of color on an 11 day learning journey. We will visit local churches, local ministries and even spend a day at Robben Island. Stories will connect.
We believe that this is a unique opportunity for our North American leaders of color to step out of their daily struggle - to be refreshed, challenged, and given a vision for changing our world in fresh new ways.
Again, our team has already raised most of our financial needs through personal investment and personal fundraising.
We need to raise $5000 over the next 7 days to reach our goal.
WILL YOU PARTNER WITH US?
Please consider a gift of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500 or more to make this journey possible for the Voices leadership and the leaders we serve.
