As of last week Carter completed his fourth open heart procedure. He's been a real trooper! Doctors are still positive that once we get all these surgeries completed he will live a long and healthy life. We are so encouraged by their words and truly witnessed a miracle from God yesterday. 

Carter's lung was collapsed as of a 4am xray. The team was looking at reintubating him to the ventilator but decided to hold off (for some unknown reason, not normal protocol) and tried a few treatments. At Carter's next xray at 1p, his lungs looked better than they had the day before. No sign of the collapse and were clear. Truly a miracle site to see. I know I had never seen anything like it!

We got word today from our agency that we are looking at finalization in December- most likely via Skype or Facetime due to the fact that Carter is still in the hospital and possibly will not be released to go home by then. We were all hoping to get that court room photo with Judge Carey, whom we all love, but that may need to wait. We have to do what is best for Carter.
