Shawn was serving at a Christian camp when he first understood his call into full-time ministry. This led Shawn to study Organizational Leadership/Management and Biblical Studies at Grace University in Omaha, NE. Shawn has served in ministry in the Dallas area since finishing college in 1997. It was clear to Shawn in these formative years that God had purposed him to be in full-time ministry — yet unlike many who are called, it became clear that God purposed a different role in ministry for Shawn. Shawn finds the most joy in creating systems and processes that launch people into ministry and frees them from the challenges of aimless disorganization.

In the last 20 years of full-time ministry Shawn has served in a number of roles leading teams in both para-church and local church ministries. After all these years of ministry the simple truth that "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him" guides Shawn even today as He serves the Lord and His church.

Shawn and his wife Sara have four girls, Roey, Piper, Nora, and Conley.
