A one-week trip to serve alongside of the WEGO Nicaragua staff as we host a variety of celebrations on our property: New Hope School graduation, staff Christmas party, and a Christmas play performed by the kids in our Bible Club.

About this trip

We fly into Managua and then drive to Jinotepe for a busy and exciting week of serving and celebrating alongside of our incredible local staff and the kids in our ministries! Activities include a day of honoring our staff with a Christmas party where a fattened pig will be feasted upon and enjoyed. The women will then peacefully work on a craft together while the men loudly romp around the whiffle ball field just outside.  We'll also have the privilege of serving our staff by assisting with the New Hope School graduation ceremony and a luncheon for each graduate and their family. You will also be paired with one of our graduates to celebrate and take clothes shopping for graduation! The week will finish off with a Christmas play performed by the kids in our Bible Club. We will take a behind-the-scenes role and help however needed as hundreds from our community gather to watch the presentation and share a meal together. This is a wonderful chance to see our ministries up-close, meet some incredible people,  and serve alongside of our hard-working local staff. Come on! 

We will have four mandatory pre-trip meetings to learn, pray, and prepare for our visit to Nicaragua. Exact dates/times will be discussed once the team is formed. The trip cost is an estimate pending airfare and will cover all expenses including travel (from Orlando, FL), lodging, meals, transportation, translators, trip insurance, and ministry supplies. You will have the opportunity to create your own personal Pure Charity Fundraiser to raise the funds for your trip. You will be asked to cover your $10 entry visa, airport meals, and gifts that you will bring for our graduates and staff celebration. The $50 deposit is an application fee but does count towards the cost of your trip. Please contact us if you need to fly in/out of a different city than Orlando, FL.
