Sean and I started our adoption process in January 2013.  We waited 2 years to find out that we became the parents of a beautiful 6 year old daughter, Jada Lebene.  In February, we traveled to Ghana to attend court & officially become her parents.  The 10 days we spent together in country were the best days of our lives.  There's not a more beautiful smile in this world than our precious Jada Lebene.  We are so thankful the Lord chose us to be her parents.  There is not a more perfect fit for our family.  It's amazing to see how the Lord has put us together.  We are a like in so many ways & that makes us smile even more. 

Sean and I knew when we accepted her referral that she might have some medical complications during her life.  We prayed about this and felt a peace that the Lord would take care of all 3 of us.  It was recently that we discovered she is currently facing some of those medical complications in Ghana.  Jada has fought a battle of sickle cell disease her whole life without any treatment.  It broke our hearts in pieces when we found out she was not feeling well & we could not be by her side.  We have prayed and felt like it's time for me (Sarah) to go to Ghana and be with Jada long-term during this time.  For those of you who don't know about sickle cell, it can be an extremely painful disease at times.  We call Jada superwoman because of all she has battled during her life on her own.  She is an amazing little girl and we know the Lord has an extraordinary plan for her life. 

For those of you wondering why she can't come here for medical treatment, we are still awaiting her paperwork to process.  We are praying that everything will process quickly and smoothly so that Jada will be able to receive care here very soon.  There are a lot of paper work details that go into every adoption and each one takes a different amount of time.  We pray that the difficulties we have now with paperwork will resolve soon so she can come home with us. 

Sean and I have set our goal to raise $10,000.  This money will be able to help me get to Ghana & stay long-term with our precious girl, help pay for medical treatment in Ghana and help bring us home.  We truly appreciate you taking time to the read how the Lord has changed our lives through adoption.  Please continue to pray for the 3 of us as we await her arrival home to Arkansas.  We are praying the Lord performs a miracle & is able to bring the 3 of us together soon.  Thank you for being a part of our journey.  We love all of you dearly and couldn't do this without you!
