Hi there! I've accepted a dream opportunity of mine: I'm a member of International Justice Mission's 2018 Class of Fellows! I’m beyond excited by this opportunity to serve their mission in South Asia as a Business Development Fellow, and I'm inviting you to share in this adventure with me.

For those of you who may not be familiar with me or International Justice Mission's work, please allow me to introduce us! My name is Sarah and I love God, the local church, brilliant business plans and the potential in every person. To me, expanding the impact and reach of God-ideas and good ideas is a key (along with prayer!) to changing lives, communities, systems and the world. In fact, expanding impact is not just a nice idea, it's my purpose. I recently graduated from law school and passed the Bar Exam, currently work for an awesome local swim school, and look forward to spending the rest of my life collaborating with others and using my experience and skills to support all sorts of organizations that make the world a better place. 

International Justice Mission's vision is to rescue thousands, protect millions, and prove that justice for the poor is possible. They have a holistic approach to protect the poor and vulnerable in the developing world through rescue, justice, restoration and ultimately transforming justice systems. My experiences and observations of IJM's work has left me awestruck - their work is intentional and excellent, refusing to be reckless or short-sighted even for the sake of reportable results. As a new law school grad looking to find ways to integrate my past in finance with the world of justice, this opportunity to support one of their field offices in South Asia - to learn from and serve their team - is the opportunity of a lifetime! 

I started a fundraiser here on Pure Charity in partnership with Liberty Church and Liberty Foundation to raise the funding that I need for my time overseas. I have a goal of raising a total of $30,000 with at least $20,000 of it raised before I deploy in January. The money will go towards the initial cost of the mission and also help to sustain me while I serve for twelve months. The majority of the support I need is gifts before I go, either one time or spread out over the 6 months until I leave, but there is also an opportunity to partner with me monthly while I'm on the ground.

I am beyond blessed by this opportunity and perhaps it's similar to something you've dreamt of before. I want you to know - even if you never head overseas, sowing here makes you an integral part of this. I am not going alone; every one who gives of their support, both financial and prayer, has seed in this harvest!

In reaching my $20,000 goal, I hope to have the first $10,000 by September and the balance before I head out in January. In doing this...

I only need 40 gifts of $500.

I only need 100 gifts of $200.

In fact, if 2 givers each gave $5,000 then I would only need 10 more $100 gifts!

If 5 givers gave $1,000 each, then 75 gifts of $200 would reach my goal.

The reality is, every donation, whether it is $1,000, $500, $200, or any amount, is important and will enable me to be present and help support their amazing work as they serve those in need.
