BIG NEWS!!! We are going on a mission trip to Malawi!

We have been called by God on a mission trip and we feel led to go!! I know that’s somewhere in the bible so let me find it. Yes, there are several verses but the one that I think God is applying to us is Psalm 96:3 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!

We will be leaving our family and friends and traveling to Malawi, Africa with a non-profit called 2ndMilk this summer. The dates are June 10th through the 22nd . Although we are excited, we still have fear. We will choose to be bold to leave our kiddos for that long, bold in flying for that long, bold for our lives as Christians in a place we haven’t been, bold if there will be open ears for the Gospel, and bold if it’s God’s will to provide the funds for us to go. 

 This is where we need you. We ask first and foremost for prayers. We pray that we give our concerns about ourselves to God. We believe strongly that when we pray and talk to God about our concerns and needs that He WILL answer. Ryan and I are simply inviting YOU to join in our mission. But that mission does cost money. Each of us needs $4,000 to go. That’s a total of $8,000 that we need to raise by June. We have sold t-shirts, receive donations, Nutrition Hog has donated a little under $150 and a sweet friend did a ThirtyOne party donated $100. We have a long way to reach the funds needed.

We are praying that you will help. Any amount will help. From $10 to whatever you think you could support us in, we would be so appreciative. We want you to be a part of this. This mission trip is not about Cheyanne and Ryan. We believe God is making us grow but we believe that God has big plans for us to serve Him in Malawi.

The tasks that we are looking forward to in Malawi are feeding babies who are in desperate need of food and nutrition, holding and loving on sick babies, teaching guardians to prepare a bottle (which is not an easy task there), sharing the good news of Jesus with any and everyone, and of course- growing in Him. Like I said, we are excited!! This is our first mission trip and I have a feeling that we will return changed.
