Today we met with our social worker and completed our formal application for adoption! We were able to pay the $750 application fee however now that we are beginning the home study process we have an immediate need of $5,500 with a fee of $8,600 following shortly thereafter. It isn't until the home study is complete and these fees are paid that we can be eligible for grants and scholarships from various organizations. Basically, we will either have to raise this money from our community or take a loan out because we have to complete this process before anybody offering grants will consider us.

Besides the finances, we are eagerly working through the task at hand... our home study. We have a mountain of paperwork, interviews, inspections, classes, and even required reading and a book report to work through alongside our fundraising efforts to complete our home study. We ask that you hold is in your hearts and prayers as we take one step at a time through the process.
